General
Healing
A general definition of healing is any positive action, word, or
thought directed by one person with the intention of helping another. A
caring touch, a kind word, attentive listening or a smile are all
healing. In medical care prescribing drugs, performing surgery or giving
advice to benefit the patient, is therapeutic and is healing.
Spiritual Healing
Spiritual healers work with this positive intention in a deliberate
way. They will focus their attention to the highest source of Peace and
Love in the universe that they can imagine. This is called
attunement to the universal source and is similar to meditation. It
is a state of heightened awareness: being totally present and at the
same time having an attitude of detachment.
The healers then consciously direct
this experience of union with the universal source through themselves to
the patient. This is called channelling, where the experience
of love is directed through the healer and is not from the healer him or
herself. This type of healing with a patient present is sometimes called
'laying on of hands', although the hands are mainly held a short
distance off the body. At the end of a healing session healers will
consciously break the connection they have made with the patient and
resume their normal everyday conscious state of being.
Distant Healing
Spiritual healing practised when the patient is not present is called
distant healing and is similar to prayer. It can be practised in groups
or individually.

Is it necessary to have
'Faith'?
No. Nothing special is asked of the patient except perhaps openness to
anything that happens and a degree of trust in the healer. An awareness
of the need for change and the motivation to do so can also be helpful.
Does Healing always
work?
It is unusual for healing not be to helpful in some way. Sometimes one
treatment is sufficient, but often several are needed and the benefits
emerge gradually. With some patients a successful outcome to healing is
obvious, but for some, change takes place at a more subtle level and
sometimes in an unexpected way. Healing often helps with the speed and
extent of recovery from serious illness and major surgery and from the
effects of treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It
works well with all forms of holistic medicine. Usually patients feel
more stable and relaxed, and often experience a beneficial change to
their attitude to life, a situation which often arises in the cases of
terminal illness where healing brings serenity to the patient and to
relatives and friends as well.
Can it do any harm?
Definitely not. There are rare occasions when the patient may 'feel
worse' before improving, but this is often a significant part of the
healing process, signalling a release of stress which may have gone
unrecognised.
How can Healing help?
Healing penetrates the deepest levels of a person's being where many
illnesses have their origin - including stress, tension and fatigue.
Symptoms start to disappear as the cause is revealed and removed.
Changes in attitude and the quality of life often follow and continue
the good work. The power of nature to enable us to help ourselves,
recognised for thousands of years. It is this power which NFSH healers
seek to tap, addressing illness and injury at source and aiding recovery
at all levels of the patient's being.
Where do Healers work?
They work in their own and patients' homes, in the workplace, in
doctors' surgeries, in hospitals, in healing and natural health centres,
in fact almost anywhere a need for healing exists. NFSH Healing Centres
are being established throughout the country as arms of the parent
organisation.
How expensive is
healing?
The NFSH believes that healing should be readily available to all. Many,
but not all, healers make a charge for their services. However, a
growing number of healers now give healing as their occupation and they
will charge accordingly (usually in the range of £10 - £30) .

What is REIKI?
What is it and what are its
origins?
Reiki
is
an ancient form of touch healing originating in the Buddhist traditions of the
East.
Reiki
can be used on situations, physical or emotional ills.
Reiki
can be used as a general boost to those feeling depressed or low in energy, it
will boost the immune system, reducing the risk of colds, flu and other bugs.
What does the treatment involve?
Firstly I will sit with you and explain fully how the treatment works, where I
will be laying my hands and the effects you may feel.
I
will ask about any specific problems you would like to work on, be it a physical
illness, or some other worry.
Then I will help you become comfortable and relaxed. If you wish we can play
some soothing music, use aromatherapy oils or anything else that will help you
to relax.
Then I will begin the treatment, you just lay in a comfortable position and
drift into
complete
relaxation.
The whole treatment is done with the client being fully clothed.

How many treatments do I need?
That depends entirely on what we are treating.
It

The Origins of Reiki

The following article
forms is a transcription of part of a Reading with Edwin Courtenay in September
1997 where he channels Saint Germain.

They are not copyright, as it is Edwin’s desire to spread Spirit’s word.
A long time ago in Atlantis I lived at the
Temple of Peace and Order that was dedicated to all forms of healing arts. I
was not only a healer in that time, in that age, I was a prophet and a seer
too. It did not require my psychical or spiritual capabilities or vision to see
that the Atlanteans who had long since began to ear towards science as a means
of mastery rather than mystical and spiritual practises were beginning to alter
the structure of Atlantean society by dividing it between those who possessed
psychical and spiritual power and those who did not. Those who did not possess
psychical and spiritual abilities were considered to be handicapped, were
considered to be prone to a form of genetic virus, that prevented them from
being spiritual beings capable of accessing and attuning themselves to the
higher wisdom of God. Of course, this was not true; God shines forth in all
creatures, in all individualities and is present in both the gifted and the
plain.
The Atlanteans did not see this and cast
forth these individuals from their ranks to live as peasants on the shoreline of
Atlantis and be the Atlantean High Priests slaves. I had lived with this
disgusting social system for far too long and in desperation prayed to the
Divine for guidance and a means whereby I could end this horrific practise of
segregation. The Divine sent its angels to me who provided me with symbols,
keys of energy which when placed into the energy system would attune that
individual to frequencies or vibrations of energy that they would from that
point onwards be enabled to attune to and channel and receive.
I was given in Atlantis the original Reiki
system which was, in those ancient days called a system of Inspiration. I
passed this system on to those who were sympathetic to my cause and eventually
in time we left the mainland city of Atlantis and fled to the higher mountains
where we became known as the Inspirers. We would project ourselves astrally
into the dreams of those who we had monitored for some time, who we would choose
to receive the inspiration in order that they may be raised to a similar level
of enlightenment and power as their brothers who lived in the mainland part of
Atlantis who had cast them forth from the cities since their early births.
The peasantry would journey, those who had
been chosen, to the higher mountains, and if they made the journey successfully
and passed the tests that we would set them on the way, they would receive the
Inspiration and be transformed. Some of them would remain with us, and some of
them would return to the shoreline to pass on their healing, their
enlightenment, their truth and their power to others there, and some of them
would go back into the centre of Atlantis to show the High Priests and
Priestesses who lived there that they had found the light; that they had been
cast away for being blind to it.
The initial and original Reiki system then
was given to me in order that I may utilise it in order to bring equality of a
spiritual nature to all those who resided in Atlantis. We were guided to pass
on the Inspiration only to those who we considered to be ready, willing and able
to use these gifts correctly. Some people who lived on the shoreline of
Atlantis were not yet ready to receive these powers, and would have misused
them. We were guided also never to give the Inspiration to any of those
Atlanteans who already possessed power, as the Inspirational system would not
magnify or strengthen their already existing gifts, but limit them in some way.
In its original state, the process of
Inspiration contained a sum total of 365 symbols. At this moment in time, there
are people upon the Earth who carry an acknowledgement of 22 of these symbols.
More symbols are being brought to the Earth at this time. At this moment the
vibrational climate and the enlightened state of mankind is nowhere near ready
to receive the full amount of symbols that are stored within the Akashic
records, as they would simply have no use for them, no use for their power or no
understanding of what they had to offer. You will see as the years progress
that the Reiki system will expand and that more of these symbols will come to
light. However, we are not completely pleased and happy with the way in which
certain systems of Reiki are being run at this moment in time, and this is part
of our message for you today.
After the great destruction of Atlantis,
the Inspirers fled the island before its decimation and journeyed to Tibet.
There they utilised the system of Inspiration to see how the natives would
respond to receiving such attunements, such power. They gave the test subjects
3 symbols. For a certain amount of time the test subjects used their new found
powers with great grace and honour, but after a while some of the subjects began
to use their powers against the will of God. In order to do so, they altered
one of the symbols that had been given to them in order that they could draw
upon a different form of energy that was not so closely monitored over by the
higher, spiritual beings that guide and guard the system of Inspiration, the
system of Reiki itself. When this was discovered by the Inspirers, it was
decided that mankind at that moment in time was not ready to receive any more of
the symbols, and the 22 symbols that they had given the original Tibetan High
Priests were sealed away in order that they would be used at a later date. The
Inspirers returned to spirit and the system of Reiki was only utilised by the
High Priests of the Tibetan Temples upon those who they knew would use it
correctly. Now is the time when this system is to return in order to empower
people and in order to provide people with an opportunity for spiritual equality
and growth.
THE REIKI STORY BEFORE DR
USUI
- Reiki was a system that was
devised in ancient Atlantis.
It was created by a high priest at the Temple of Healing, who is now known as
the Ascended Master St Germain. This priest took himself away from the
central temples at Atlantis, and journeyed to the far mountains of Atlantis
creating his own tribe, or clan, of Atlanteans called the Inspirers. The
Inspirers disconnected themselves from the mainland Atlantean dwellers. They
sought to find a technique and way to equalise the spiritual development
of all Atlanteans, in order to abolish and banish race differences
which were judged by the psychical and spiritual progression of the
Atlantean race. Many of the Atlanteans who were considered spiritually and
psychically backwards were used as slaves by the priests and priestesses
and the Royal families of the Atlantean Island. St Germain in that
lifetime was given a number of symbols which could be projected directly into
the energy system of an individual, and which would raise their vibration to
a sufficient level where they would transcend their present spiritual
handicap and be equals amongst the Atlanteans. He was given twenty-two
symbols, a Master number. When Atlantis was destroyed St Germain
journeyed with several of his fellow brothers to ancient Tibet. They tried
in this place to continue this practice of raising spiritual
Consciousness. In order to see how this practice would ensue they gave
three symbols to a number of individuals who were in close proximity
to the Atlantean landing. Many of them used the symbols and the
spiritual evolution that they brought well. Others however used this power
in a dark negative and baneful way. They perverted and contorted the symbols,
transforming and changing them. St Germain and the Inspirers decided at this
time not to give the full twenty-two symbols to any individuals, in order
to keep the full power that they thought would corrupt these individuals
minds from their grasp. The Reiki system as it is practised today is an
incomplete system. It is a system which comprises of many symbols, some
which are directly drawn from the Akashic records and have been given to
mankind by St Germain, but some which have been invented, created and draw
upon a different type of energy.
The above information was recently revealed to John Armitage by the
Collective Consciousness of the Lords and Ladies of Shamballa (the Ascended
Masters).

Reiki for
Animals
Animal Attunements
Our
pets are a valuable part of our families, and being a carer for Chester
(dog) , Tigger (cat) and many other animals in the past, I know the
importance of their spiritual care as well as their physical care.
During times when they are unwell, recovering from operations, or
needing help with adjusting to new routines in their home, healing can
provide the extra support they need.
I
have many times attuned animals to Reiki to enable them to tap into this
wonderful healing energy for themselves. This is standard procedure when
the animal is severely ill or has an extreme behavioural problem
.
Dramatic results have been achieved using Reiki, either helping to speed
recovery or to ease their final transition, giving them peace and
comfort at the end.
I
undertake distant healing for animals when requested and also have
developed Reiki training for those who wish to work specifically with
animals, either domestic, working or wild.
